The problem

Going private shouldn't feel like a gamble

The NHS wait keeps moving+

You've been referred, then rescheduled, then pushed back again. Going private can mean being seen this week, but only if you can actually find and compare the clinics near you.

Nobody publishes prices+

Most clinics make you ring reception for a quote, and the prices vary wildly between clinics on the same street. Without comparison, you have no way to know if you're being overcharged.

Directories find doctors, not clinics+

Existing sites list individual doctors and hide the numbers. When you need a GP appointment or a scan, you want the clinic, its price, and how soon it can see you, all in one view.

Reviews you can't trust+

On some platforms, practitioners choose which reviews appear. Keystone publishes patient reviews independently, so clinics cannot edit, gate, or delete them.

Real NHS waiting times

How long the NHS queue really is

Official NHS England figures, May 2026: the typical patient still on the waiting list has been waiting 12.5 weeks, and the longest-waiting 8% over 38.5 weeks. Most private clinics on Keystone can see you within days.

How it works

From “I need a GP” to a booked request in minutes

01

Search a service

Type what you need (a GP appointment, an MRI scan, a blood test) and your postcode. We understand everyday phrasing, not just medical jargon.

02

Compare clinics, not doctors

Every nearby clinic appears in one ranked list: published price, distance from you, patient rating, and typical availability. Sponsored listings are always labelled.

03

Request an appointment

Pick a clinic and send a request in under a minute. The clinic contacts you to confirm the exact time and price. No call centre, no queue.

Built on trust

The rules we won't break

Transparent prices

Every clinic is listed with its published price, whether that's fixed, from, or a range. If a clinic only quotes on enquiry, we say so instead of inventing a number.

Reviews clinics can't curate

Patient reviews are published independently and labelled unverified until tied to a completed booking. Clinics cannot edit, gate, or delete them.

Honest availability

Waiting times shown are typical availability, clearly labelled as indicative. The clinic confirms the exact slot when you book. We never invent live slots.

Sponsored means sponsored

If a clinic ever pays for placement, it sits in a clearly labelled sponsored slot. Paid placement never changes the organic ranking or touches reviews.

Our thesis

Healthcare should be shoppable

You can compare every flight to Tokyo in one search, but not two GP appointments on the same street. Keystone puts every private clinic's price, rating, and availability in one ranked list, so choosing private care feels like booking a flight, not gambling.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Keystone?+

Keystone is a search and comparison site for private healthcare. Search a service and postcode and we show every private clinic near you in one ranked list, with published prices, patient ratings, and typical availability. You can then request an appointment.

Is Keystone free for patients?+

Yes. Searching, comparing, and requesting appointments is free. Clinics may eventually pay for clearly labelled sponsored placement, but that never changes prices, organic rankings, or reviews.

Where do the prices come from?+

Prices are the clinics' published prices, shown exactly as published: fixed, from, a range, or on enquiry. The clinic always confirms the exact price when you book.

Is the availability shown live?+

No, it's typical availability, clearly labelled as indicative, based on how quickly each clinic usually sees patients. The clinic confirms the exact time when it responds to your request.

How do the rankings work?+

Clinics are ranked by a combination of price, distance from your postcode, and patient rating. If a clinic pays for placement it appears in a separately labelled sponsored slot. Paid placement never affects the organic ranking.

Can clinics remove bad reviews?+

No. Reviews are published independently and clinics cannot edit, gate, or delete them. Reviews are labelled unverified until we can tie them to a completed booking.

Which areas do you cover?+

We're starting with London and adding clinics every week. If your area isn't covered yet, try a nearby postcode, as coverage is growing fast.
